Click on the hamburger menu at the top right, and select History. Click on Clear recent history. Make sure to select Browsing & download history and Form & search history. If you would like to clear Cache, Cookies, and Active logins, you can select those as well.
I have been searching all morning trying to figure this out, tried all the suggestions I found. I have turned off search suggestions in options. removed google from all history. used shift delete many times on it. tried removing the search engine and the search functionality from the address bar. Any help is appreciated greatly.
When I select a large amount of history entries and press delete, Firefox hangs for a while, but when I select the same amount of history entries and press delete and directly deselect by selecting only one history entry, deleting is extremely fast. (Emphasis and grammar edits mine.) It's restoring selection that seems to be slow. Click on the History menu and Show Full History. Now select 'Clear browsing data' in the left sidebar. A new web page will open with the option to 'Clear the following items from…'. Choose a time period for which you want to clear data and then check the boxes next to the data you want to delete. Click Clear Data. I use duckduckgo. Clearing history is the same as Google, if you don't have three lines you probably have three dots. Either way, 1. Open the three dots/lines, 2. Go down to, More Tools. 3. Click, Clear Browsing Data… At the top of that window you will have the choice of choosing, Basic or Advanced. I always choose Advanced.
Step 5. Look to the left column of the window and under "places" click the home icon. This will open a new set of folders in the center window. Click the "library" option. You will see all of the folders in the library appear. Scroll through the folders and click the "Safari" window. Within this folder find and click the file, "history.plist."
This is a list of Firefox keyboard shortcuts for working with tabs, bookmarks, searching the web, playing media files and more. Delete Del delete: Delete Word to the Left Ctrl + Backspace: History. Command Shortcut History sidebar Ctrl + H: Library window (History) Ctrl + Shift + H:
I have it set to delete all history except saved log ins and cookies on exit. Offline data and site preferences are unchecked, but I'm not sure that matters here. Whether closing Firefox or trying to delete it manually from settings my history won't delete. I also downloaded some add on for clearing your history and that isn't doing anything. I've tried deleting the history from the firefox and selecting all of the boxes so that site preferences are supposed to be deleted. You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or
It is slightly more complicated than that. Doing that will work only if Firefox is not opened. Firefox may well be opened during testing or fixing of the computer. If Firefox is opened it will create a new profile. Take care to make a note of the exact name of the original folder for comparison. The new profile will have a slightly different name.
Hi Amber, If you've been deleting the history from your device, then you should be okay. What this person likely meant was that your connection can be monitored. For example. if you were viewing EYeXD8.
